Question hadith - must Muslims conquer all nations ? 1 Year, 11 Months ago
Salaam Aleikom dear brothers and sisters. In my study on the topic of Jihad, i was reading a book written by a non-Muslim [ David Cook ] who cites the next narration in regard to this topic:
Abu Hurayra would say after these amsar (cities founded by Muslims) were conquered during the time of Umar, Uthman and afterwards, “Conquer whatever you wish, because by the One who holds the soul of Aby Hurayra in His hands, you have never conquered nor will you ever conquer any city until the Day of Resurrection without Allah having already given its keys into the hands of Mohammed previously

source:

Ibn Hisham, Sira (Beirut, n.d.), III, p. 235
My question is, does this hadith support/statement from abu huraira implies that Muslims are allowed to conquer and attack all non-Muslim states in the world, including the peacefull ones ? [ because of the phrase "conquer whatever you wish" ] . Or is the statement from Abu Huraira taken out of context here, and does it merely mean "you will only conquest that what Allah will allow you to conquest, so you can attack whatever state you want, only Allah will decide which state will become under your control ? I hope Shayk jalal Abuelrub could explain this saying from Abu Huraire talaam Aleikom dear brothers and sisters. As-Salam Alaikum...

In this chain of this narration is an unknown narrator, meaning his name is not even mentioned.
Imam Ibn Hisham said, "I was told by someone whom I don't accuse."
Who is this narrator? He is not known, making this Athar from Abu Hurairah, radiy-Allahu Anhu, weak at best.

Another problem with the chain is that Imam Ibn Hisham died in 287, while Abu Hurairah died in 57 Hijri, that's a difference of 230 years. Which one narrators could live that long.
That poses another problem, either the narrator whom Ibn Hisham narrates from removed his narrator from the chain, or that it is a story that this unknown just heard and said.

If he omitted the narrator, an intriguing question is that why did he omit that narrator?
So basically the narration is weak at best.

Was-Salaamu Alaikum

Respected brothers,

I run a petty blog namely, http://donotsaytrinity.blog.co.in. For my blog I need software of Quranic Tafseers of classical tafseers. I know that i can have tafseers from www.altafseer.com but i can access them only when i am online. So, is there any link via which I may down load a software to cater to my needs.

sincerely,
Q.M.
