Salaam Aleikom dear brothers and sisters. In my study on the topic of Jihad, i was reading a book written by a non-Muslim [ David Cook ] who cites the next narration in regard to this topic:
Abu Hurayra would say after these amsar (cities founded by Muslims) were conquered during the time of Umar, Uthman and afterwards, “Conquer whatever you wish, because by the One who holds the soul of Aby Hurayra in His hands, you have never conquered nor will you ever conquer any city until the Day of Resurrection without Allah having already given its keys into the hands of Mohammed previously
source:
Ibn Hisham, Sira (Beirut, n.d.), III, p. 235
My question is, does this hadith support/statement from abu huraira implies that Muslims are allowed to conquer and attack all non-Muslim states in the world, including the peacefull ones ? [ because of the phrase "conquer whatever you wish" ] . Or is the statement from Abu Huraira taken out of context here, and does it merely mean "you will only conquest that what Allah will allow you to conquest, so you can attack whatever state you want, only Allah will decide which state will become under your control ? I hope Shayk jalal Abuelrub could explain this saying from Abu Huraire talaam Aleikom dear brothers and sisters. I hope Shayk jalal Abuelrub could explain this saying from Abu Huraire to us, secondly it would be interesting to know if this saying attributed to ABu Huraire is authentic or not.
