Faith Healing

The Holy Qur'an 3:71) Ye People of the Book! Why do ye clothe Truth with falsehood, and conceal the Truth, while ye have knowledge?I think it's safe to say that everyone knows that the media has a huge influence in the world, but is it really safe to say that it couldn't affect you? The “third person” theory in mass communication discusses the basic idea that many of us have: The media affects everyone but myself.
Not too long ago, a Christian told me that Christianity was obviously the correct path to God. Apparently, his justification for why Christianity is the only true religion of God is because it is the only religion in which you have priests and preachers that can heal the same way Eisa (Peace be upon him) did.
First of all, I'd like to say that I thank Allah Almighty that I am a Muslim. Now, I'm obviously not a scholar that knows the insides and outs of his religion, but when the vast majority of a single religion aren't even able to grasp the basics of it, then there is something to worry about.
This isn't an article about the trinity though. I could go into misconceptions that are made by many Christians nowadays and how they ended up with the concept, but that's been done to death already. Of course, they keep going around in circles, sometimes for around fifty minutes trying to interpret a verse the way they'd like to. So instead, I'm going to focus on a really specific subject.
Let's first examine one of the miracles that was done by the Eisa (Peace be upon him):
John 9:5-6 “When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.”
Yes, it is quite a feat that Eisa (Peace be upon him) has performed. Yet, apparently, he's nothing compared to the so-called miracle faith healers of today. Benny Hinn, an extremely famous faith healer, cures hundreds of people at the same time by flapping his cloak. I'm surprised that he hasn't proclaimed himself to be God yet even though he apparently outdid his “savior.”
Apparently these people have been warned against even within the Bible itself:
Matthew: 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
Romans 16:18 “For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.”
Right! There's no arguing with that one. The warning of fake preachers and priests has already been made. When someone asks you to donate in the name of God for a better healing experience, you'd know that something is fishy. Yet, there still are a lot of people out there that are afraid to ask questions, because to many, asking questions shows a lack of faith, which shouldn't be the case... Well, at least not in this situation.
Heck, don't take my word for it and watch the documentaries about these frauds.
I really advise everyone to check this video out. It's about an atheist who used to be a child preacher. He talks about the tricks that faith healers would use to con their audiences. He also gives us a demonstration to prove it:

The following two links are about two pastors that are caught scamming their audiences:

Honestly, I'm thankful for Youtube.com. If I didn't have access to this site, then I would have been forced to purchase a really expensive ticket to travel half way around the world to find the miracles of God. Why? Because according to faith healers, God isn't everywhere and his miracles can only be found if you lived in a rich community that would dish out big bucks to get “healed.”
I thanks Allah that all I have to do to find his miracles is walk five minutes towards the closest local place of worship and pick up a Qur'an. It doesn't even cost an airline ticket. Yes, I'm also aware that there may not be a place of worship anywhere close. This helps alot too though:

Anyways, I'd just like to state that this article isn't really an attack on Christians or their intellect. Christianity has a lot more to offer than con men or missionaries that bribe people into the religion with food. I'm just hoping that this article has shed at least a little bit of light on the absurdities of the faith healing argument. My visual media professor once said, “Never underestimate the gullibility of the consumer.” Apparently, these faith healers probably took his class as well.
Bismillah Alrahman Alraheem: (The Holy Qur'an 10:35) Say:"Of your 'partners' is there any that can give any guidance towards truth?" Say: "It is Allah Who gives guidance towards truth, is then He Who gives guidance to truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? what then is the matter with you? How judge ye?"
Alsalam alaykum wa rahmat Allah wa barakatuh.
